Dorm Cooking: Maple Syrup Lollipops

Last night, some of my friends decided to have a little cooking adventure. They decided to make lollipops with maple syrup that they had in their fridge and use some process that involves snow that I had never heard of. It was so much fun, despite the fact that we kind of made a mess (we cleaned it all up though, I promise!)

How the process works is that you boil the maple syrup and cook it down a little bit so it thickens up more, and then pour it in a line onto a bowl full of packed fresh snow. The snow cools the syrup and then you take a spoon and roll the gooey cooling syrup onto it, and voila! Maple syrup lollipops!

This is my favorite picture that we took last night, even though our faces are a little weird and distorted.

  1. Okay, so it looks good, but how did it taste? (Because it sounds a little gross, but I could be wrong!) The spoon selfie is how all of my selfies look..haha.

    Stay warm!!
