Lovely Ithaca Day

Yesterday, I went out to shoot some portraits for my photography class. It was a beautiful day, so Ally, Sam, and I went and walked around campus and they were kind enough to let me take some portraits of them. I was struck at just how lovely it was to be outside--it was warm enough to where I was in jeans and a t-shirt. Here are some of the not-portait pictures that I took, just to show how beautiful it is here right now! I will post the portraits once I get them assembled in a few days!

Apple Fest!

Last weekend was Apple Fest here in Ithaca, and we had such a great time! Apple Fest is held on the Ithaca Commons and consists of live music, performances, carnival activities, as well as different vendors.

The food options were endless, and everything looked delicious. We had amazing fresh apple cider:

We walked around Apple Fest and saw some live music, dancing, magic shows, and I even got to see my friends who are in the IC Circus Club perform! Here's a picture from that:

There were so many different apple-related food options--donuts, crisps, pie, cookies, the list goes on! I decided on one booth that was selling cups of sliced apples drizzled with melted caramel, fresh whipped cream, and chopped nuts. It was absolutely delicious.

A Trip to the Farmers Market

Last weekend, some friends and I walked down from school down to the Farmers Market and I was overwhelmed once more by how much I love being in Ithaca. Here are some pictures from the adventure!

The market had the most lovely looking food!

The market is right on the lake so we spent some time sitting on the pier.
We were lucky to have gone on such a beautiful day!

We also got the most delicious freshly squeezed lemonade.
